What other polls features would be cool and useful?

Hey the new polls are great, and I see there is an option to set duration, cool. How about some other neat things that might really take polls that bit further than most implementations?

Ah so you can not do this - I suppose it is early days but that would be good, this would give more survey like capability to the polls feature.

The ability to edit a previously created poll would be nice!

@phenomlab Yes, in instance where you miss a typo

The only issue is oversight, bad actor edits the poll option to a different result.

However instance of that probably wouldn't be too big a deal, and you could allow overnight by making edits viewable somehow/somewhere.

Ah yes... the poll implementation dates back to early days of NodeBB and could really use a rewrite to better take advantage of new hooks, etc.

We have a lot of silent voters who I would like to encourage in writing. So I would like to see an option to vote with reason. Like a text field that has to be filled to vote. You could have an automated answer then like "User X voted with "Option 1" with following reason: "Option 1 is better than Option 2".

One more feature I would like is to get notificated about new votes. "User X and 12 others voted for your poll in thread XY"

being able to see who voted for all the options openly would be nice (without additional clicks or extra panels)... I mean just like how facebook poll worked before they ruined it...
arranged results in order of the number of votes it got, basically results will be sorted by popularity
lastly, it should be OK to use decimals in the results right now, total percentage sum makes 99%.
instead of 14% - 21% - 29% , I believe they should be 14.3%, 21.4%, 28.6%... so the total will be 100%
