receiving notification when the followed user posts

Is it possible to get a notification when a user that you are following replies a topic?

Currently, we get notification only when they create a new topic. Would it be possible to get notification when they reply a topic?

It is more like how it works in other social media sites I guess... You see what other people does in the community. Of course this can be an option as well, in that case users may pick if they want to get notification or not as in the "new topic notification" case.
