Export Posts From NodeBB > BuddyPress
-
I have tried to bridge the logins for my main site and my NodeBB forum with no success.
My members get frustrated that they have to log in to my main site, then log in again to my Forum.
I have to leave NodeBB and go to BuddyPress to fix this issue.
Is there a way I can export all of my posts on the Forum into BuddyPress?
Thanks for the support over the time I've used Nodebb

I think you're going to struggle migrating NodeBB -> BuddyPress. I don't think either platform has a large enough following to have an actively maintained migration path for either direction.
I think your efforts/costs would be better focused on solving the shared-user-accounts problem between the two sites. It can be done.

@chrisb Thanks Chris.
I have successfully added Login Via Facebook & Twitter, but the Wordpress SSO / Plugin causes my website to go offline until I delete the plugin.
I asked support but didn't get a reply for 6 months, I'm aware it's free support so I don't expect to be given priority support etc, it's just that I hit a brick wall regarding this.
I use membership levels too on my site which require subscriptions, but again, there was no way to Link a subscriber to my wordpress site with my NodeBB one

I guess the problem for support (and anyone here) is that it requires knowledge of your Wordpress install and plugins to offer a solution.
I can't help you at the moment, but I was planning on experimenting with integrating NodeBB with a custom-built site of my own over the weekend, both of which I want to authenticate users with SSO. So I'll report back with how it went/if I find anything that might help you.

@mbftom when did you ask about WordPress SSO? Sometimes things get forgotten. Is the WordPress SSO plugin on the NodeBB sure broken, or is the WordPress site breaking with it enabled?

@pitaj Thanks for replying Pita.
I did ask quite a while ago now, I will try and find my post later
I am not moaning in anyway, this software is free and it's been great to be honest.
I am not sure what's causing the issue exactly, when I download the o2Auth plugin and then also enable on my forum, both parts go offline.
I then have to FTP into my site and remove from both ends.
