What themes do you recommend for a support forum?
-
At the place I work at, we decided to use a forum to keep in touch with clients and provide support, so naturally I jumped on it and signed up for the Hamlet plan to get started. I have already been using nodebb for Kamloops Makerspace for several months and I am very happy with it.
For this new forum, it will be used more for suppot, so I am wondering if there are existing themes that would be more suitable for this. Basically I am looking for something that looks professional and is easy to use, and encourages people to ask question, and possibly provide feedback that they are satisfied with answer.
Are there themes/plugins out there that I should try?

First of all, you would want a theme with bigger voting buttons (like Stackexchange). You would also want to make sort by most votes the default.

You could utilize widgets on the home page (ex. a big "Ask question" button that opens up the composer)
Ex. http://www.nutritionask.com/
Also @julian recently built a support forum plugin, that you might be interested in utilizing as well (for private 1v1 questions)

Thanks for sharing that, although in my case I am planning to keep the support forum public as much as possible, so clients can learn from each other. For private support we will just continue using the good old email.
Are there any other existing plugins or plugin ideas that would help provide a better support experience? For example something that enable clients to express their level of satisfaction with the support thread? Anything else?
