@julian yeah he has done an amazing amount of work obviously. But still some time left. Hmmm, I am trying to think of ways we can knock him out at least in this category. Has @pitaj said anything controversial recently?

Hey @Kayimi

How about we end this contest early so whoever is getting that Nodevember ticket have enough time to book a flight and hotel? I mean midnight, of Nov 12/13 that leaves 2 days before the event, probably all rooms/seats would be gone by then.

Also, unrelated, (most likely, @pitaj or @arasbm), if you win the ticket and you're not planning to go, I am willing to pay you for the ticket, more cash for your pocket, and go instead of you.

I already talked to @julian and said that's doable if you agree of course.

As for tickets, in the unlikely even that I would win them, I will not be able to go in such a short notice. So consider it yours @bentael if I get it.

I don’t mind calling it done now that whoisin caught up with calendar here But that might not be fair to @pitaj since we have a pretty tight competition there. I am happy either way though. But we should at least wait until @pitaj responds.

if you both agree on selling the ticket, the competition should continue till the announced date, I'll just paypal the amount of the ticket to the nodebb team, and they will forward that to the winner instead of the ticket

basically replacing the prize, just so it wont go to waste.

ok, I hate to back out after I said I would buy the ticket, but I am not going to be able to go to the conference for family reason, that I just found out in the past hour
(a surprise family event happening this weekend which I cant miss)

@bentael No worries, family always comes first
But I guess that mean either me or @pitaj are going to have a last minute ticket that we cant use. Maybe we should make a post in Nodevember forum to see if anyone is interested in buying it? Unless someone else here would like to claim it.

I really wish I could go though, if only I had a bit more time to prepare for it.

I'm actually not too sure if that's possible because those tickets were endorsed by the Nodevember guys specifically for this contest. I would think it'd be kosher within our own community though, if anybody else is interested.

I dont know about the legalities, but if both the NodeBB and Nodevember teams agrees on it, someone here showed interest 2 weeks ago
