Where in the source is the template processing going on?

Wazzup @Developers @julian @psychobunny - I was wondering where in the core source the template processing occurs? I've been browsing around on github, but can't find it, so decided just to ask.

I'm pretty sure that very little minification occurs when the templates are processed, and figured this would be one place of possible improvement.

I was going to make a fork and then modify stuff, then make a pull request, (If that's how it's done, new to git stuff) but I wasn't sure where the stuff happened. Was also going to work on the documentation eventually.

@pitaj check out the templates.js repository that is the templating engine we use.
