Topic Sorting Feature Required under Categories

Guys, do we have feature to sort topics in a particularcategory?
In a category we want to sort topics according to date/ engagement/ popularity; I can't see any option for this!!

If I remember correctly, you can change the order in the admin panel for all categories; not just one, however.

@ankitpr89 I don't believe there is a way to sort topics by popularity. However, it is difficult to come up with a suitable algorithm to correctly elevate posts based on popularity while taking into account staleness of the post.

Simply put: If we sorted topics according to popularity, the most popular topic would be at the top forever

The trick is to let the votes' influence degrade over time.

@EisFrei A very interesting read! The best course of action may just be to copy a known-good working algorithm in any case (e.g. Reddit).
