FINALLY..
dad-forums.com is starting to make some progress.. Trying to stay minimal but with what I'm seeing in my head.. little detail changes
imported posts by hand from the other server copy/pasting a bunch to get some thread in for testing. no more db horseplay.. time to seed content, work on visuals, etc..

Cool, appreciate it.. Long way to go. I still haven't really started messing with the .TPL files much but I'll be jacking them up in Dreamweaver soon enough lol trying to use as much css and as little images as possible..
I just ran a GT Metrix on the site.. not bad for no cloud flare or anything like that, no optimizations yet.. just out of the box w/ the minor theme changes.

I'm still thinking of using NodeBB perhaps.
Currently I'm using the IPS Suite (Invision Board). After trying to get NodeJS (Socket.IO) to communicate successfully with IPS ... and having less and less luck ... this solution looks a little better.

Maybe someday I'll think of something that'll have a need to use IPS and NodeBB.

glad to know we're doing pretty okay though I fixed the optimize image one cause all i needed to do was a re-save
got 0% extra for it lol..CloudFlare demo went so-so.. I don't think it's going to be worth the hassle since it's already a cloud-based service.. redundancy maybe but speed wasn't worth it so I deleted the post i started

@OutlawedOffroad -- we use CloudFlare on our end. NodeBBs cannot be accelerated by CloudFlare, as they do not proxy web sockets correctly.
Support has even said they won't, and if they did, it would only be for paid plans, so boooo...
That solves that.. I noticed immediately it was a web socket issue after all the hassle last week with it on CentOS. Figured better to just unscrew that lightbulb and move on.
Just got home from taking the kid to the doctor office.. Some batshit crazy lady freaked out in the waiting room after she lost a verbal confrontation with me.. I guess her husband is a doormat. I'm not. Old school rocker here and I call it like it is, she wasn't used to that lol.

Must be something in the air today I had to get very Anglo Saxon on the company I'm doing some work for they owed me for 3 invoices, had two frank exchanges of views
with shop & area managers, did the trick though got paid this evening -

That was my one journey out today the kids been sick so I've been keeping her in the house to recover. No need to go out in freezing weather and snow when getting over a cough.

had a contest on the since closed rotten forums where the winner got a short rap video in their dedication lol one guy used to post "click click snap snap" every time he one-upped someone and then half the content is from another wackos post about getting bitches.. i know some crazy people.

Sesame Street dance party then some work.. Maybe node by stuff later if there is time. Figuring in another week or two Ill be ready to start pushing hard to get people on the forums posting. For now seeding content daily and working on graphics, banners, etc..
