[nodebb-plugin-vimeo] Vimeo embed plugin
-
Sure, a little framework for this kind of thing would be nice.
But I'm not sure about the bottom part personnaly.
By the way, soundcloud plugin ready.
Talking about it, motivated me.

@tedr56 You could implement some of the code in the Youtube plugin, I added some code to @psychobunny's plugin that makes the video responsive. Or I could do it and submit a pull request, either one's fine.
Also, maybe we can merge these two plugins to a video embed plugin since they essentially do the same thing? It would be of course up to the authors

You are totally cool to do whatever you want with my work
Really all these plugins I've made so far are just samples for future plugin authors to base their work off, and I'm glad to see people like @tedr56 and @bdharrington7 make something off it.
If anybody wants to take over authorship I'm glad to hand it over, I've got a lot on my plate with NodeBB anyways

Plugin updated for NodeBB 0.4.3.

This post is deleted!

Not sure if this is needed for BBS/forum, but I think it'd be cooler if the embed plugins for YouTube/Vimeo/DailyMotion have bunch of options like the WordPress JetPack for us to specify options for the video.

Hi- love the idea of this plugin. I am seeing broken image icons in this thread which is consistent with what I am seeing in my dev environment. Did this plugin break with the upgrades?
Thanks!
-
@GeneralLedger, you're seeing a broken image icon in @tedr56's signature, which links to an imageshack image that has been deleted or moved.

Hey Ted,
Thanks very much! Maybe I missed it, but can you help me with the markdown syntax to get a vimeo video to show? I tried a few different things including copying the whole vimeo share code, just the iframe, putting in a markdown image tag, etc.
Thanks!
-
@GeneralLedger, did you install the plugin, activate it , and restart NodeBB already?
-
@Ted yep, I sure did.
-
@GeneralLedger Just enter the URL of the page.
-
@GeneralLedger, Markdown can be confusing for those new to it - don't worry about it
-
@GeneralLedger Not a problem, most plugins will follow the same style of just putting the URL in, however if different, it should be included in the ReadMe file of the plugin.
