just to point it out, this search function will be utilized by others, for sure by @Gliding9426 , especially to identify "obviously spam" users. These users are otherwise difficult to detect without spending countless hours checking each user individually. https://community.nodebb.org/topic/17480/option-to-disallow-links-in-user-profiles/6

You need {{body}} inside the container. Post a screenshot of your widget settings if you can't figure it out.

@omega yes, I totally agree It should only be at the top to show the trail of the page... And tag row needs to be for hashtags not for the sub-category name...

being able to see who voted for all the options openly would be nice (without additional clicks or extra panels)... I mean just like how facebook poll worked before they ruined it... arranged results in order of the number of votes it got, basically results will be sorted by popularity lastly, it should be OK to use decimals in the results right now, total percentage sum makes 99%. instead of 14% - 21% - 29% , I believe they should be 14.3%, 21.4%, 28.6%... so the total will be 100%

@dave1904 said in Forum activity page or widget: You could see who upvoted another users post for example or who else earned another badge Hmm, I could see how this would work for a close knit community with maybe 50 users. But with 1,000+ users, wouldn't it be noisy? E.g. user x193 upvoted this post, user 222 got this badge... it would be tons of activity from a lot of users. Maybe only show posts of people that I follow, perhaps?

  • Edit post button - top level placement is required to improve UI/UX

I suggested this a long time ago, eh persona times, and thought I posted it here but maybe not so posting now / again. I want to see the post Edit button brought up to post-actions top level as a UI default, this will mean a user no longer has to make two clicks 3dots > select from drop down, edit Making a post edit a single click action I would also propose rebuilding the vote button so that to vote it becomes a simpel click to vote on | click to vote off So it only need one element, not three. This cleans up two really unnecessary buttons, and come on, let's think about it, which gets used more Edit or Vote? Obviously it's edit, so why hide it? Let's reduce the click overhead here, reduce it to one click instead of two. Now while this totally suits my workflow, I often hit this button 2/3 times after a post, I'm a heavy editor of posts, the reality is voting is often a fire and forget action, most probably done once.

I'm hot and cold on chats. They are not always applicable and are dependant on the average user behaviour and want. I had a look at the chats and in there I see @drabiv point about how do users discover chats, I find it easier to reply here and think it will have more value, but even if users can find the chats, they do not necessarily need them or use them, so you have NodeBB that has to cater for all worlds and mixed worlds, so that's actually 3 worlds. Now here is an idea. A Chat only version of NodeBB Chat Vs NodeBB Deluxe (the full version, the one we are on now). I like chats to hit a person directly, the cognitive break also reinforces the more private and direct nature of the communication, even if a group chat, it's a contained exchange. For some radical moves in ditching the nav bar why not jam in a Chat UI element there see what happens!

In the ACP on the widget page, to the left of Save changes it would be highly convenient to have a Disable/Enable Widgets option. Unless I've missed another way to do that, this would be useful to avoid having to remove you widget configuration to test things in an on/off manner.

One obvious ChatGPT use case is summarizing an entire thread. It's very simple with most of the LLM APIs. It would just need to be run when the thread has changed significantly – there's some probably some nuance on that front.

Probably do have some rudimentary file upload in browsing features, they are restricted to the administrators at this time. However, it would be a really good plugin to have!

@q16marvin I came across this plugin and installed it in my test forum. I'm overlooking where to find the read status results. I looked in topics existed prior to installing the plugin and newly created ones. I also checked if there was a widget I that needed to be added. Could you direct me to where I should be looking? Wondering if possibly the problem is the plugin is not compatible with v3.5.1.
