@hollosch this topic is over 4 years old, so probably won't get much traction. However, you just need to install nodebb-plugin-custom-pages and you'll be able to create what you need.

@fffddd-dfeeedd No, most likely they will not affect Google rankings. Any external links from NodeBB are automatically nofollow'd, and those bugs you've pointed out don't affect ranking of the page itself.

@node-bonbon said in Set a tag to only be used by a certain group?: @rallydarkstrike Standard tag - Any user who has permission in acp to add tags to posts in a category, can add it. You can set a list of system tags, which only an administrator can add them For topics. Cheers, friend, that seems to be EXACTLY what we are looking for!

@hollosch rather than dimension, I believe image/writing itself is more important. You can move/adjust the picture after you upload it; however how it looks on the desktop will be different from how it looks on mobile. Here are the examples from our site: on mobile: [image: 1641413737029-img_5766-copy.png] on desktop: [image: 1641413873661-screen-shot-2022-01-05-at-2.56.15-pm-resized.png] I guess you can see the difference...

@julian said in My Coffee Journey: @gotwf how much coffee are you making at a time? How much coffee do you drink at a time, eh? [image: 1641355398989-img_7752_coffee.jpg] Usually, a single cup. Although at times one may choose to "super load" the rig and go for two pour overs sequentially. Much better to just have a second cone. And third, fourth, and so on. Then boil a group pot of water and each can "season" to taste. This approach prioritizes/optimizes for quality over quantity. [image: 1641357357411-img_7779_coffeeblack.jpg] Which just aint' gonna' cut it for some people. My wife, for e.g., likes very strong coffee. And lots of it. So she uses an automatic coffee maker and needs a couple cups intravenously to jump start her mornings. Last weekend her Cuisinart automatic rig and burr grinder both bit the dust. Good riddance! Worst coffee maker ever! Hence falling back to the old tried and true #2 cone. Oh yeah, the #4 filters are used in the automatic 12 cup rig. #4's will work in a #2 cone just dandy. Long after any fancy fangled automatic drip rig sporting useless features has given up the ghost...

@macfan said in Mongodb not working: @gotwf said in Mongodb not working: Hmm.... What would you propose? Got code? Something SQL maybe? Like mysql? I would touch nothing thats licensed on SSPL As mentioned above, NodeBB supports PostgreSQL. A far superior RDBMS to MySQL, imho, btw. What kind of code? Code requisite for "porting" nodebb db backend to whatever your dream data store may be. I, too, am none too keen on SSPL. While I am sensitive to both sides of this issue, in reality the SSPL affects me personally minimally. Meanwhile, MongoDB does a kick ass job. Hence I am electing an "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" posture. That said, next NodeBB deployment will likely take a closer look at PostgreSQL.

@macfan said in Log4j - What are people seeing - anythign to report?: @gotwf said in Log4j - What are people seeing - anythign to report?: Wikipedia Page Really? Wiki sucks terrible on so many surfaces.......... Its not definite source for sure. Hence why it was only one of three cited links. As of OpenSearch:: it seems that its near deprecation, so its no worthy mentioning.........although the code itself is of pretty good quality and can be reused in something bigger........... Mayhaps I am confused but did not Amazon "donate" it to OpenSearch.Org? Although I personally would use nothing that - in any point of time - has been touched by Mozilla ( former / current ) employee ( s ) I presume you are referencing millisearch here? I did not look at its origins.

@macfan Not strictly true -- while you can accomplish a lot with just front-end styling, our theming engine allows you to change the underlying templates as well, so you are not limited to having elements in specific positions. For example, if you want to have your reply buttons somewhere else on the page, or remove them altogether, you can do so by updating the topic.tpl template.

Hi! You probably don't remember me. It's been - what? - 5 years or so. Shortly after we founded the community organization on GitHub. Yesterday, I received a request that immediately made me think: I've got just the right tool for you; NodeBB! Coming back to your site really warms my heart. Not only are you guys still alive and kicking, but it's amazing how far you have come. I'm excited to test drive the mongodb backend. I remember how much I wanted that to happen. Raphael

@sharonyue That, I think, is just a header element. So prefix the line with a couple #s to make it a header. The more you add, the smaller the header.

I tried to build it again, yes, once I install nodebb-solr by the following command, and active it in the ACP, then I cannot open /admin page. npm install nodebb-plugin-solr as soon as I remove it by npm uninstall nodebb-plugin-solr I can open ACP page. I am using nodebb v1.18.6. I find this solr plugin was updated recently from 5,3,0 to 5.3.1, I think maybe there is a bug? https://github.com/julianlam/nodebb-plugin-solr Alright, right now I use the following to fix it: npm install [email protected] Now it works.
