Hello, may I ask why I added the site icon without changing it? Is it overwritten? I think this may be a bug. If I restart nodebb, the icon will change, but when I refresh, it will change back to the default site icon. How to solve this problem

On this site I can see a Tags bar at the bottom of the box Im typing in. On my instance I dont have it, when editing or post preview before submitting. Why could that be?

@ayyilmaz It is because it is difficult for us to remove that post from the index and still maintain the correct number of posts per page. We make certain tradeoffs in exchange for speed, and this is one of them. When you load a page, you will get however many posts you asks for, no more, no less, including deleted posts.

@PitaJ I dont have any extra Emoji packs, just what came with nodebb these Emojis used to work till yesterday. I did click rebuild Emojis, then restarted forum Edit: Ive now done rebuilding & restarting forum and Emojis working again

Ok, I think I got it - had to drop the original db before restoring. Now it seems to work #fingerscrossed

@schajuli I feel like this should work, but I'll have to try it and see if I can reproduce the issue you're seeing. The pidfile errors are probably because the files you copied over don't have the right permissions.

@PitaJ When an admin deletes a post (not purge), any user see "this post was deleted". Is there a setting to not show deleted post?

It is not necessary, you can set it up in the ACP so unverified-users can access and post everywhere and also receive emails. [image: 1668520333060-28c1048f-f1bb-4990-8057-2be6cef481dd-image.png]

registered-users, all users who register are added to this group verified-users only users who have verified their email are in this group unverified-users only users who have NOT verified their email are in this group - means that group is inheriting it's privileges from the registered-users groups since all users are in that group. If you want you can remove certain privileges from the registered-users group and only allow verified-users access to a category.

Local login is when you log in via the form built into NodeBB. This is as opposed to SSO login or some other form of external login. I believe the local login restriction will only apply if there are other login options available.

Depends on how you perform the upgrade. I'd recommend backing up what you have and just try git stash git pull git stash apply It should probably just work, but you may get "merge conflicts" that you'll have to resolve.

@eveh you copy that RSS link (I believe those links are specific to your user profile...), then paste that link into your RSS feeder application... so, you can directly see new replies on your RSS feeder application without visiting the forum. I use "Thunderbird" for RSS feeds... and use this RSS feed link of one of our main forum topics where users post their complaints, technical problems in the forum etc.

@eveh alt text is what the browser will show (or any search engine crawl) in the event that the image cannot be read, or is being accessed via a screen reader. The og image is OpenGraph which is a standard borne from Facebook but adopted by search engines and social media platforms alike and is used as the image displayed when referencing the page or post for sharing as an example. My NodeBB forum v2.5 has asked me to 'confirm my email before posting in some categories', again! I did confirm it previously Has anyone else ever seen this? I want to monitor this in the database, does anyone know which of the tables confirmed status is stored in?
