Does anyone know of a plugin to embed uploaded videos? I enabled file uploads on my forum, but they just show up as links. Would like an embedded video player. Tried the plugin search, but the 2 it found did not work.

Yes. I do think it is an important feature. In order to make the forum live, to make more users online for a long time, I think we need to add some interesting features. The most important phenomenon is that most of the users just log-in the forum when they want to ask something, then they leave. A interesting feature should handle this problem. For example, if I want the users can pay the others using their reputation to answer his thread, how can this be done?

You can probably use a widget for this, no need for a plugin unless you want user interaction.

You can restrict what file extensions are allowed in the ACP.

I think you may, in theory, check how other plugins works it like nodebb-plugin-registration-question, and try to do change it in your way

@stephanekassis just want to clarify some things. Are you just looking for stylistic changes? Are you looking for the chat window to be "docked" to the bottom of the screen? What kind of changes are you looking for?
