So, uhm… I'm confused again. My #IPFS node (go-ipfs / kubo) is complaining about falling behind due to too many CIDs and I got no clue how to best handle this.Should / can I increase the reprovide interval? Limit the maximum amount of provided CIDs? Or is there some problem with the docker given it needs so long to provide a single key? Or really just enable Accelerated DHT? Gonna have to figure out how the kubo docker wants config changes to be passed to it as well…#SelfHosting #Docker

@mia @Nicro Perhaps this general idea is something to pitch to @kde and @gnome (or rather @flathub ?) given their current work on introducing payment options in the Flatpak ecosystem. Including a way to donate to all your open projects in a way described above once/regularly would be a great stretch goal!

Obviously there is a metric amount of questions (like privacy, security, how the projects register for this, all the non-profit org szuff etc). Generally I'd very much welcome something like this however, it has to be way easier to donate to the open-source community as a whole. Especially all of the thousands of projects that make up a FOSS desktop computer!#FOSS #Linux

@moopet You have to make sure to get proper and safe patches to get rid of the old Starforce copy protection.Someone repaired the Trackmania Sunrise installer a few days ago (still, I'll write a simpler one at some point) and I want to either fix or provide installers for the other old Trackmania titles. Just started Trackmania Nations ESWC for example. Runs nicely with the proper patches.Regarding Trackmania 1.0, it's probably a bug from back then. TM Original should work fine.

@Natanox I think ipfs doesn't really behave like an archive? you need some server to host it on ipfs. if that server goes offline and no other system has cached it, it'll be gone.and other systems will probably purge their cache every now and then.

We got both FDM and MSLA printers here.You can also print some structures that are either hard or even impossible with FDM.Of course for everyone who doesn't want or need the level of detail a FDM printer is both safer and more cost-efficient. Although even FDM printers can create bad fumes when printing certain materials, not as toxic as resin though.
