@babaggeii The write API would contain support for API keys (and later on, access tokens), so there are plans to allow the write API to expose user-specific routes using the same user auth system as well.

We have a separate user management system where we want our own users to have the ability, via our admin pages, to create users on our NodeBB installation. Essentially it's a debating club for kids, and we want the parents (or schools) to create accounts on our current system, then be able to create logins for their kids on the NodeBB installation. What would be the best way to go about this? Would it require a custom plugin?

There are still some docs lacking (and I know since the platform has not reached a full "1.0" version we should not expect full docs)...but the fact that you guys have put work into writing some documentation is great.
