[nodebb-plugin-import-phpbb] phpBB2 to NodeBB converterGiving this a huge bump.
Currently struggeling to get a phpBB 3.0.X version migrated.-
Which plugin shall I use actually? There are so many versions of the phpBB importer available.
Personally I have tested this and the 3.1 one. -
These two returnt the following

It seems like both versions are heavily outdated. Would be great, if I could be spared a conversion from phpBB to SMF to NodeBB.
- Shall I use an older version of NodeBB maybe to perform the import?
What was the last one known to be working with this plugin? 0.6 or 0.7?

sad as NodeBB has enormous potential waiting to be unveiled.
@wojciech-lisik said in I have a couple questions, any help is appreciated!:
JS sucks
JS is commonly used by crackers so its not trustworthy language.Yeah, but NodeBB without NodeJS won't be NodeBB.
@wojciech-lisik said in The future of Nodebb:
there is more than one active directions..... in other words - it seems that each & every dev with push right has its own strategy how NodeBB shoul develop......
Did you knew that the NodeBB staff is an actual team? I am not only talking about an "online" one, but rather physical, which means that there is actual communication between the members.
Talking about the pushes themselves - the majority is about fixing and implenting new stuff as listed on the roadmap/milestones:
But you as someone, who [insert quote]:
@wojciech-lisik said in ./nodebb setup Permission denied:I have setup 1k+ servers in my career
You might have known that already.
Now do us all a favor and go back to the low level you came from. Before calling me a fanboy:
I am not using NodeBB anymore since a long time, due to numerous reasons, however, none of them associated to the plugin ecosystem nor the developement in general. Its rather about native app support and monetiziation, which the NodeBB team is "missing" for me as a webmaster.
Therefore, I have no reason to defend any of the devs, staff or whatever else associated to NodeBB. Actually I do not even give a fuck about this project.
The only reason why I am responding here is to roast shit talkers like you, even if it might get me banned (couldn't care less). -
The future of Nodebb@wojciech-lisik while I do agree that some things aren't done "properly" (the way I would like them to be done), I only can wonder where you got all this blatant bullshit from.
Reading your previous posts and topics lets me assume that you have either been dropped by your parents while you still were a baby or your IQ is simply as low as the pavement.
Back to topic though.
About NodeBB and its future.
NodeBB is actively developed and the team does their best to keep it up. Just give the GitHub repo a shot and you will see the amount and frequency of commits.Personally I think that NodeBB has a few downsides, when it comes to monetization. However, its not impossible (check the tutorial section) to get ads running and let it NodeBB run as any other forum software.
Regarding plugins I also do agree with you. The ecosystem isn't that good, however, with some basic knowledge you can easily fix broken plugins and adjust them the way you need.

[nodebb-theme-timuu] TimuuSuperb theme.
I really do like it, however, I got one thing to point out.It would be nice, if the theme would support custom classes for the categories, e.g. "col-md-4 col-xs-12", so instead of 4 cards, you only display 3.

Hell of installation@rami7250 honestly. Its not anywhere near complicated, except you are on a beginner level.
If you want a complete guide you can check the Tutorials section for a guide I made or just read the docs step by step. A complete setup (scratch) takes less than 30 minutes if you do it by hand. With a bash script you can do it fully automated.

Show us your rig!@baris still cheaper than any Ryzen 7 based system. I got all the parts new, except the CPU and RAM. However, they are both from Germany and therefore covered by a warranty.
The mainboard has been imported from China (hard to get proper LGA2011 boards) and is covered by Allianz insurance for a year.
I paid overall 1496โฌ. This does not include the HDD as I owned it previously. If you decide to get the CPU from China without Express shipping nor a insurance its around 100โฌ cheaper.

Show us your rig!Giving this a bump (will add a pic later):
Mainboard: HUANAN Deluxe X79
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2680v2 @ 3GHz (BCLK OC)
Cooling: Noctua NH-U14S
RAM: 32GB Hynix RECC DDR3 @ 1600MHz
GPU: 8GB GDDR5 Gainward GTX 1080 OC
HDD 1: 2TB WD Black HDD
HDD 2: 500GB Samsung EVO 850
PSU: beQuiet Pure Power 10 CM 700W
Case: Corsair Carbide 270RThe Xeon is a 10 core CPU with up to 20 threads.
As promised, some pics:
If you want I can take of the side cover and do some additional pics tomorrow.
And before you ask for the price - its been quite cheap. Cheaper than any DDR4 based system.
Especially if you consider benchmark scores (when I bought the CPU a few weeks ago it was ranked 54th with over 16K points). Working with the system is fabulous, especially when you use Photoshop or AE. Games run smooth at highest settings and barely seems to be a workload for the CPU. With BF1 at its absolute maximum settings the CPU went to 21% load. The Huanan X79 does a great job as well. It held 48h @ 100% load without any issues. To overclock the CPU and RAM though you have to flash a custom BIOS.
