Notification will not go away

Hey guys,

I have a general privilege test user account on my forum. I don't use it very often and it has been well over a month since the last time I logged in with that user.

The Notifications icon indicates a notification yet when I click it it says I have no new notifications. If I click the See all notifications none are shown. I click on Mark all notifications read and momentarily the notification indicator (the number 1) goes away. When I reload the page the notification comes back.

Do you have a suggestion on how I could clear the notification indicator?

I am using Redis database. What should I look for in the database to clear the phantom notification for my user account?

make someone mention you on the forum or anything that gives you a notification, then click read all
worked for me last time I ran into this, I'd be curious to know what causes this though
