Upgrade from v1.0.1-auto.0 to v1.0.2

What are the specific GIT commands to upgrade from v1.0.1-auto.0 to the latest v1.0.2? I can't seem to get it right and am having issues with the upgrade script. Thanks in advance for any help here.

If I completely re-install v1.0.2 to get around my problem, will all of my users, posts, settings etc. be saved or will the database be re-initialized?

@ljhardy your database won't be re-initialized if you point to the existing one during setup. Any case make sure you have a backup.

I reinstalled and am successfully running v1.0.2.
