email and user parsing conflict

Steps to reproduce

1. create user with a name like url, in this case my self exo.do
2. try to put email with that url
3. profit

<[email protected]>

results in

[email protected]

Where do you see this? I created an user with an email in the form of <[email protected]> but I got <[email protected]>

Seems like a bug in the markdown parser.
