@oli yeah a few other friends found it a few hours ago too. kinda annoyed cause the posts already caused me enough trouble and finding that iceshrimp.net has this post causing bugs is frustrating. at least i trust people there to be nicer about it than mastodon who temporarily suspended me on the flagship instances

i really naïvely thought every fedi server had considered this, because user input shouldnt be trusted, but oh well

Not for the content, but for its nature of being an exploit to stay on top of trending.

@paguro it’ll be fixed in the next mastodon update + ask your instance’s admins to remove it, there’s an option in settings to remove any trending post from the explore page

i didn’t mean for this to happen, but i’m not taking the post down either, your instance can do that !

@paguro hey, @jeremy, apologies that the joke post I made triggered an at-the-time unknown Mastodon bug! it’ll be fixed in the next mastodon update (since This PR was merged: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/32996), but in the meantime a user on your instance is frustrated by it being stuck on the explore page- you can fix this by going to https://mapstodon.space/admin/trends/statuses while logged in as an administrator, selecting the post, and clicking “disallow post”, which stops it from clogging the explore page. Sorry for the inconvenience!
