@grabmaier That question specifically asks about SSO. Session sharing is different in that it allows your user to skip the login altogether IIRC which is what you want.
NodeBB v0.3.0 Released
-
Happy 2014 from the NodeBB Team! (Yes, it's almost February, but it's nice to wish people a Happy New Year, no?)
We've released NodeBB v0.3.0 today, including some really great features, including (but not limited to)...
- New post composer layout
- New chat frontend
- Rewritten web sockets backend (more robust and secure!)
- Four new languages! Italian, Czech, Simplified Chinese, and Arabic. (Edge builds already have Traditional Chinese as well!)
- Better internationalization support (languages now selectable in admin control panel, and mentions now support non-latin usernames)
- Topic forking
- Revamped email system (supporting third-party emailers like Mailgun, Mandrill, PostageApp, etc)
- "Lavender" theme unveiled for v0.3.0, slated to become the default NodeBB theme for v0.3.1!
Enjoy! (poolparty)

Hopefully you fix the bg category image problem first before making it default.
What's wrong with it? Other than it doesn't scale them properly for which I created a issue
category bg images don't fit well in lavender · Issue #839 · NodeBB/NodeBB
maybe background-size:cover?

problem disappeared with the update it looks like. nevermind!!

Admin not works.
Says "undefinedundefined" -
Make sure you're updated to at least this commit minimum:
templates.js - if custom theme is missing a template, render default … · NodeBB/[email protected]
Node.js based forum software built for the modern web - templates.js - if custom theme is missing a template, render default … · NodeBB/[email protected]

This will fix our above issue (but really, if you want to use Lavender you should be on 0.3.x at least)
-
@psychobunny I dont know i try to update to 3.x but not works, can u tellme what im doing wrong?
-
@Pablo-Macaluso, you'll have to tell us what errors occur... My guess is you edited a template, and the
git pull
is complaining because it does not want to overwrite any files. If you want to maintain and modify your own NodeBB, you have to learn git.
Good tutorials and guides here:
-
It says "You are running NodeBB v0.2.2. Always make sure that your NodeBB is up to date for the latest security patches and bug fixes."
But when i execute git pull it says its all uptodate
-
When i execute ./nodebb upgrade
I get thsi message
Welcome to NodeBB
Usage: ./nodebb {start|dev|watch|language}start Start NodeBB in production mode
dev Start NodeBB in development mode
watch Start NodeBB in development mode and watch for changes
language Language settings -
And whe git pull says " Its alredy update"!
-
Anyone can help me to fix that? my community are sad ...
