Here julian, I said notification's but meant new posts, it's miss behaving it now says I have 20+ unread posts which is not true and when it's not saying 20+ it says nothing at all:(
clear your cache, I had the same problem too they modified some stuff in the header

It happened to me on v1.11.1 too. You can "fix" it by setting this to 0 on posts settings.

@julian I tried that before and just now to make sure but it makes no difference. It shows the widgets in the categories just not the home page 😞
This is fixed on master now.
