Windows Error, now an Ubuntu Error

Recently I have been using Ubuntu to host NodeBB and I constantly run into different errors randomly. So, I wanted to see how well NodeBB would work out on Windows.

I have followed the the walk through in the Docs section of the website for Windows (and Ubuntu, but that's besides the point)and I get errors as soon as I run 'npm install'.

Here is an error log, any help would be nice.

I suggest you to use Ubuntu again. You can't even restart, nor start NodeBB properly.

Then can you explain why this happens every time I startup NodeBB with 'sudo ./nodebb start'? http://prntscr.com/7j6qfb

Hmm... Never faced this problem. You might not need sudo at start. If you are still in testing process, I suggest you to complete re-install NodeBB & Redis.

try ./nodebb dev and see if you get error logs

I've started reinstalling already and I get the following when running 'sudo apt-get dist-upgrade', installing nodejs-dev with -f like the error before this one said. http://pastebin.com/U5dGci0z

EDIT: Fixed by doing 'sudo apt-get -f nodejs' and 'sudo apt-get -f nodejs-dev' repeatedly. Don't ask how that worked, but yeah...

Fixed by reinstalling redis-server.
