This would make certain settings (like Pushbullet) able to be put in the same place as all the rest.
... because the CBBS hardware and software supported only a single modem for most of its existence, users had to take turns accessing the system, each hanging up when done to let someone else have access.
We sure have come a long way!

That's pretty much how all the old-school BBS's ran back in the day. I was running WWiV on C++ doing my own mods and compiles in the middle of the night after everyone logged in for their daily turns on the games.
The way information is now it's so much more accessible... almost dirty.
