Plugin to rate users

Is there a plugin that enables the user to rate and comment about other users.
If there is not such a plugin, where to I start to add such a feature?

In my opinion this is something that belongs into a social network not into a bulletin board, but it's up to each admin on it's own where to stop

I've not heard about such an plugin so I guess there is none yet.

To start writing a plugin by your own you should have a look into the NodeBB Docs and onto the kitchen sink plugin.

Also looking into various other plugins may be a good starting point

You can rate users by their posts, this then becomes that users reputation. Found in the users profile. However you can't comment directly on that like you can with other software like Xenforo with the form of a "wall".

Thanks for the replies. I agree @frissdiegurke that it is a social network feature. Essentially I am looking for another way of adding reputation. I.e. the current one shows how helpful, accurate, ... a person is. Now suppose that this forum is also a media for people to buy stuff. Now, we also need to rate sellers based on their quality of service.

Is it still doable by a plugin, or do I need to change the core?

Essentially, what you want is the ability to apply user-based reputation rather than post-based reputation, like MyBB's default reputation system where users can give positive and negative scores to each other.

This would be in the area of a plugin.
