NodeBB keeps disconecting

Hi I just installed it on digital ocean but nodebb keeps disconecting then will not reconnect anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

To complement @baris' post -- can you let us know what you were doing prior to it crashing? Perhaps you were posting a youtube or vimeo link?

If you disable the youtube and vimeo plugins, does it stop crashing?

Hi I have not done anything at all with the site for 12 hours+ yet when I try to load it, its offline again and I have to re start in terminal.
I will disable the plugins and let you know what happens.

left it for another 5 hours and its disconected, it must be something to do with the installation but no idea what.

@StuartH -- that's pretty atypical for a NodeBB install, there are no silent error messages.

Do you have an error.log in your installation folder? That may shed some light.

I have no idea how to get to the log, there is nothing on dititalocean server side available to me.

@StuartH - how are you running your NodeBB? Just navigating to the server and running "node app"?

In that case, if you close your SSH session, then your NodeBB goes down as well.

You'll have to use a utility like forever to keep it running indefinitely.
