That handy button which moves posts in different threads should be easier to use. Instead of looking for the thread ID can't we have something like a search button so that we can look for the thread more easily?

If moving an individual message can it not be moved to a 'new' topic?
You're probably looking for the "fork" functionality there

@frissdiegurke The whole drafts feature as-is at the moment is to combat losing your progress in the event of a browser crash or errant keystroke.
Re: @psychobunny's comment, I'd definitely be in favour of re-opening composers (minimized) of any open drafts...

Fixed it up now, so it doesn't show up on edit (unless something changed)
