Hiding Specific Topics from Public View

sometimes, users contribute topics that we allow in the forum, but the topics are about sensitive issues so we would like to hide them from guests. With the current settings of the forum, is this achievable?

We already have hidden categories in the forum, but these topics do not belong to these sub-categories categorically.

This is not possible out of the box, you would need a plugin to mark these topics and deny access or send a 404 if it's being accessed by guests.

I made a category not visible to non registered users. Anything inside, including subcategories, are not visible to me if I log out.

See permissions for the category.

@mschwartz thanks yes, we already have these categories... but unfortunately the topics I mentioned cannot be moved here because they belong to another category/sub-category.
