all categories has limit

as show in the picture, the all categories shoul show all the categories and subcategories, but when I have a category with many subcategories such as 30,and I set the categories per page is 4, then int this view, just 4categories are shown in the all categories area, how to fix this?

That's on purpose, if you want to display all of them set the Subcategories per page setting to 30

You can use css to show only the first few items with css, this would show the first 4 categories.

    display: none;
}
.category-children-item:nth-child(-n+4) {
    display: block;
}
