NodeBB and Ghost

Hello,

how works ghost and nodebb together? it is easy to setup? i want on my site a blog in front and the forum behind..any chance?

@ekn33 they work great together, nodebbs blog uses ghost, if you use this plugin you can have your blogs comments on forum and visa versa.

@a_5mith do you know if this works when i setup nodebb on mongo and ghost the normal way`? i mean thats 2 databases

@miguel Join in what way? We integrate comments with Ghost, but actual user merging is probably not something we'd pursue.

I am absolutely not tech savvy but I love ghost and from what I can see of nodebb I'm impressed. I would enjoy having both together, but no idea how to make that happen. I guess there's no 'one-click install' for nodebb is there? like there is for ghost? (I just recently set up on onesmallorange )

Find out which operating system your VPS is running on with asmallorange, then go here to see how to install, then follow one of the many guides to configuring Nginx or Apache (I'd recommend Nginx, it's a little simpler), which will make everything work.

Nginx just needs a config file, which you will find all over this site with the search. If you get stuck, plenty of help available.

Not merging, but can be used with each other.
