@baris I removed the duplicate block as you indicated above, but the "cannot find module" error still persists - the require error is now gone

Admin template needs to be in templates/admin folder and update the res.render call to use admin/nodebb_ldap

Let me know if it works then I can publish it to npm as @nodebb/nodebb-plugin-node-ldap

Did you check index.js for the proper require statements? They should look like

nodebb-plugin-node-ldap-new this folder probably isn't used if the active plugin is nodebb-plugin-node-ldap. What does ./nodebb plugins show? You should place the fork on nodebb-community into nodebb-plugin-node-ldap and try again.

I published @nodebb/nodebb-plugin-node-ldap version is 2.0.1, deactivate and uninstall the other ones then install this one with npm i @nodebb/nodebb-plugin-node-ldap and let me know if you get any errors. This version if for nodebb 2.x.

@baris the extension works in terms of no errors on install or activation, but doesn't work in the sense of actually logging in

I am not familiar with how the ldap plugin works, but the error seems to complain about some missing config. What values did you put in the ACP page? For reference the stack trace you posted points to this line in the plugin, so maybe master_config.base is missing or empty.

@baris figured out the missing config, thanks. Won't authenticate though, which I expect is down to the difference between LDAP and Windows AD
