Redirect user to email registration

In my forum I have decided to display a message in the global header for users who have not yet validated their email.
I'd like to put a link to make it easy for the user to click and be sent to the page to set up their email.
Any ideas?

Are you asking how to address a link so it works for any user?

/me/edit should work:

/me/edit
