How to make URLs show preview in topic?

Hello. Here on the community NodeBB Forum, URLs entered in topics automatically make a cool looking preview. Here is an example with the Google URL, simply typing the Google URL with https:// in front of it:

Google

(google.com)

My question is how can I do this? Is it a plugin? Does anyone know a way, or is this just a code the admins wrote themselves?
