Question about forum alerts

Hello
In some of the forums I saw on NOTEBB
In the past when I had an alert sound, even if I was not on the site and it was just open in the browser I would hear an alert
Today when there is an alert sound and I am not on the site itself I do not hear it, and only after I return to the site do I hear the sound
Although the site is always open only I am not currently on its tab
Is there a solution to this problem?

@bbn while in cannot speak about the claim that some tabs do not alert immediately, I should mention to you that the sounds for notifications were removed in the newer versions of NodeBB
They may make a reappearance in the form of a plugin, but no news on that yet
