You'll need to start NodeBB with ./nodebb start not npm
You need to be in the actual folder you installed NodeBB in, you can't just run that command anywhere!
I don't think that commit has been released yet, which would explain why you'd still have the error. You could have just cherry-picked that commit you linked, but what you did works as well. It might just end up conflicting with future upgrades.
Everything good. session was sucsessfully deleted after expired. and NodeBB has good resistant to attacks like ddos under 1.5 million requests by day!
@Purupuru Glad to hear it! 😄
./nodebb upgrade should've taken care of updating the config.json file for you -- not sure why that didn't work out.
@julian I get the "Congrats! So far so good -- please see server log for details" message, but when I comment out the two lines (as suggested), I get this error:
I have no idea what that means.
After further research, it seems to be an error caused by redis running out of memory.
After increasing the available RAM for my server to 1GB, I'm still getting this error.
After increasing swapfile size to 4GB, I'm still getting this error.
This should be fixed in firstname.lastname@example.org
