This should be possible from the ACP, select an empty icon and change the text class so it is not visible-xs-inline

The change was actually happening but the fullname wasn't being displayed to admins/regular users if the setting display fullname is off.

Right now the default is that menu items are icons. On mouseover the title is shown. How to change it so that the title is always shown?
Icons are great for mobile use, but on desktop text is much better for us.

All you should really need to do is change the url value in config.json and change the server name in your reverse proxy.

@prog At current, no. Our servers are based in a New York datacenter, but we do not use CDN for global delivery of assets like the client js and css.
