Please let us know whether NodeBB will be actively maintained as Enterprise Grade Community Software. ?

@julian, @baris Could you please let me know whether NodeBB is actively and well maintained when compared to Discourse.
We as a team would love to start an Amazing Programming Community. I am a FullStack Dev.
The only turning point wanting me to stick with NodeBB is it is powered by Node JS.
Things which I love in Discourse are :
- Huge Development Team.
- Well Maintained.
- Immediate Releases & Fixes.
- Badges system which is extremely awesome, which makes users stick to the community and contribute, Which isn't available in NodeBB.
As we wanted a Stable Channel for building our Community, We were a Bit skeptical whether this project (NodeBB) will be maintained thoroughly and there will enough releases and fixes consistently.
Will this project be continued actively ?
We actively wanted to have an Enterprise Level Community forum software. So Please let us know @admin

What do you mean? NodeBB has been well maintained as an enterprise product for half a decade now. You are WAY past the point of needing to ask that question. As someone who has had this in massive scale production since Q1 2014, it has everything you want, except the badges, which we would like.
What makes you think it hasn't had all of that non-badge stuff for a long time? What is the thing making you skeptical? You can get all kinds of support, too, both from NodeBB itself or from enterprise hosting and consulting companies. The support options are really broad.
Discourse is good, too. No knocking those guys.

@Mukkamala-Akhil did you ever define what was lacking that you felt NodeBB wasn't handling in a production and enterprise manner?

@scottalanmiller Hey! I was new here, Basically am a MEAN Stack guy and found this forum very interesting. But the only down side for me is the UI and the badges system. The badges system and the UI of discourse is pretty Good when compared with NodeBB. I felt this. This isn't to hurt anyone. But If the UI and the badges system of discourse was of NodeBB's I would be amazed.!!!!

@scottalanmiller Could you please reply ?

Those are nice sounding features, but should come from the community in the form of plugins, they are not core to the platform. And they certainly aren't part of the topic of "enterprise grade". Those are features that are reasonable, but certainly not necessary or always wanted.
If you feel those things are useful to you, you can add them.
Not sure why you want me to respond about them. I definitely do NOT want NodeBB to look like Discourse. And I have no idea why I'd want badges, but can imagine that maybe we'd find a use for them, maybe. But coming from communities that have been destroyed by "gaming" mentality, I'm very hesitant to want them.

Sorry If my reply is rude, I wasn't rude. I just wanted to confirm few things. Anyways, Thanks for the reply back. Always loved NodeBB.

Not rude, just wondering why you were tagging me for input for plugin requests. I'm a pretty random person to have asked to respond about them.

Cos, You replied to my previous thread. So I thought you'll be throwing some light about NodeBB.

Sure, but your questions were about feature requests. Your original question was about when NodeBB would be enterprise maintained, and that was easy to answer... five years ago and continuously since then. It's absolutely enterprise ready now.
Your next set of questions weren't really questions, but just mentions of features specific for you that you'd like someone to develop. There wasn't really a question to answer there, it's just a note that you'd like to see those features. Not much that I, as a long time user, can say about those.
I can shed light on the usual paths... you can make a thread requesting them (one thread each or no one will notice), but unless they get loads of traction, there is no reason to assume that NodeBB will even consider that - that's not how the core system works. You can hope that others want them too and that someone third party makes a plugin for you to use, but if that is going to happen it is most likely to have already happened. You can offer a bounty on the plugins. Or you can hire either NodeBB themselves or a third party to make plugins. That's easy to do, but expensive.
Other than that, I'm just an end user like you, but not one that wants those features so am glad that NodeBB is not focusing on them.
The reason that no one responded to that particular post is because, if you read it, there isn't a question - nothing that would warrant a response. So I had read it, but it just seemed like you were mentioning a wish list. Which would make no sense for me to respond to since you weren't wishing it from me.
