[BUG] Notification plugin doesn't work when the forum is not open

Hi,
I have installed this plugin, https://github.com/psychobunny/nodebb-plugin-desktop-notifications#readme to enable desktop notifications, but I have noticed that clicking the notification doesn't take me to the topic.

If I have the forum open in a tab, then clicking the notification redirects to the topic on the same tab. Is this the intended behaviour?

This is a limitation of desktop notifications, yes. We haven't yet implemented service workers to fix this.
