How to make users see/interact with their own posts but not with posts from other users?

Im trying to make a moderator applications category where users can create their own posts, access their own posts, and reply to their own posts, but ONLY their own posts. They wouldn't be able to see others posts or interact with them in any way. Moderators would still be able to access posts from everyone. Is this only possible with a plugin because i wasn't able to get something working with the current permissions system.
