When the recession hits next year induced by government mismanagement, poorly conceived tariffs, and the shock of massive government spending cuts people may wake up. We exist in a space where people don't care about good government they only care about their own economic woes. When 401K balances drop, social security checks don't show up, VA benefits vanish, and unemployment rises maybe then people will see the error of their choice. Hopefully we still have voting rights in 2026.

@wdlindsy Not a chance. Anyone capable of understanding this has had literally almost a decade to do so - if they didn't so far they won't & if they decided to just go along with it this won't stop them.

@wdlindsy I wish I had the answers, but I think if enough if us can identify the issue and focus on it, we can find a solution. Whether it’s finding a way to stop it, drowning it out, or some innovative thing I can’t think of just yet, we have to do something or everything else will be for naught.

I was thinking of how much frenetic activity will be taking place amongst our allies' intelligence agencies, shutting down agents, and programs which may now be compromised. What a windfall of benefits for Putin.

A kakistocracy (/kækɪˈstɒkrəsi/, /kækɪsˈtɒ-/) is a government run by the worst, least qualified, or most unscrupulous citizens.

@wdlindsy this is the part that makes me sad. they're isolated from our suffering because they simply refuse to hear it. they prefer creating a coalition with what is effectively a death cult. and that death cult is lying to them about what's going on and who will be hurt because said death cult *wants* everyone to die because they think that will get them into heaven. nevermind that jesus taught to be loving to all and to help people, even who are different to you

It's easier to con someone than to convince them they are being conned.

It is interesting, and sad. Many of those disinvited will never understand, or at least will pretend not to. A civil war divides a nation....

Republicans who hate Trump are few in number: the Democratic Party should shun these Neocons (Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney, John Bolton, Bill Kristol, etc.)

@NJWookie "We exist in a space where people don't care about good government they only care about their own economic woes."
A good observation. I'd add, too, "their perceived economic woes." Much that we're dealing with in that regard, it seems to me, is people's stubborn willingness to believe that things crashed economically under Biden and were peachy under Trump — when facts say otherwise.

100%. The Democrats did a horrible job of messaging. They failed to remind voters Trump's mismanagement of the pandemic had us locked in our houses watching the economy tank. They let the media focus on the price of eggs instead of low unemployment, easing inflation, & rising wages.
As Team Trump cuts off all of the infrastructure investments, slashes federal programs, & imposes tariffs I'd expect the economy to go into recession & people will start to feel the error of their vote.
