"In this moment, … it is clear that women have electoral and political power over more than abortion rights.

@samhkennedy I can't answer your question, unfortunately, since I'm not among those people to whom your final question refers. To me, it seems incomprehensible that there are people who imagine that older women would not be intently concerned about the circumstances and future of their daughters and granddaughters.

If men are having trouble comprehending this message, they should be speaking to women over the age of 70. They've lived the transition into Dobbs. I remember the era well.
They knew. They know. And the way they're breaking against Trump in this election clearly demonstrates their opinion that this constituted an important part of their identity.
Personally, I don't get the argument to suppress women. When men elevate women, we elevate ourselves. If this were about male bodily autonomy, my god, would the pitchforks come out!

@wdlindsy 3% to RFK, Jr? How ironic. And he is on the Iowa ballot. Chef’s Kiss!
-
@wdlindsy Next we go after the billionaires who promoted the abortion bans, the LGBTQ+ hate, and the support of murdering Russians that nobody wanted. Time for a reckoning and an end to billionaires.

@geographile Yes, it helped me understand something that's very murky to me, since I don't have a head for math and figures, so polling is usually mystifying to me. I'm glad to learn more about her.

@Runyan50 Amen.

@Runyan50 And to think that there were people saying loudly and stupidly that he was not a Republican plant to divide the Democratic vote, but a bona fide alternative Democrat.

@skydog I think men in general have long since been overdue when it comes to paying close attention to the wisdom and insight of women of all ages. Good comments!
