I have been thinking about it (a Canadian Fediverse / Social Web conference).
Maybe put it in a city within driving distance of where @dansup lives, so that it is easy for him to attend

Wanted to attend the Social Web FOSDEM after-event at Hackerspace Brussels HSBXL.
And, did show up for a bit.
But my children had other plans, so we ended up leaving early.
@reiver they were so wonderful! I promise next year we will have a venue where people under 50cm tall can see the speakers better. Thank you for coming.

There's nothing of value between where @[email protected] lives and I live
I jest, but while I am throwing out ideas I have a lead on a space in Toronto that could easily hold 200 standing room. Depends how big you want to think.

We very very briefly talked at Chez Theo. But the table was full. So, we didn't get a chance to have an actual conversation.
I also went the Social Web FOSDEM after-event at Hackerspace Brussels HSBXL. But didn't stay long. I had my children with me. (I'm the one that pushed a stroller through the room.) And my kids started complaining pretty quickly about being hungry, so had to leave not too long after getting there, to feed my kids.

@dansup is able to get to Edmonton or Calgary (in Alberta). Which is why we were talking about those 2 cities.
