@japipes @pfefferle Hi, long-time tester of the plugin here. There are two general considerations to keep in mind:

1. The plugin can be made to work with all available WordPress post types. You can change this in settings to exclude the image type, so that they only show up in posts.

2. One challenge here is that Mastodon and other microblogging software renders the images as attachments, rather than inline images. This is unrelated to the plugin itself, but you can at least play with the settings to alter the output.

It’s a bit out of date now, and needs updating, but I wrote a guide a while back about how to do different things with the plugin.

@japipes always use the version from the WordPress.org repo, so that it will be updated with every new version. If you are using ClassicPress or any other special fork, you could also install it through composer.
