Iceshrimp.NET has entered the beta phase. It’s in an interesting state! The Mastodon API compatibility is quite good, allowing the use of many existing apps.
The front end ui is still in progress. Any adventurous fedi nerds that want to install and provide feedback are welcome.

I’m particularly excited about the use of DotNet in such a promising fedi platform. It’s difficult to call this a #Forkey since it’s a complete rewrite…I guess you could say it’s Misskey inspired?

@[email protected] I'd love to learn more about why you decided to adopt the Mastodon API instead of the ActivityPub C2S API?
Knowing full well NodeBB doesn't use that API either, so, not levelling criticism, just curious is all!

@julian I’m just a fan of the project, but I do believe they are trying to provide a compatible path forward for all current IceShrimp instances to the .NET version with the least resistance, so Mastodon API compatibility was a must.
