@[email protected] I'm very curious about the delays added... 5 minutes until posted content federates out, 30 days cooldown before you can re-enable sharing...
I really would love to know the thought process behind it.
I heard some chime in with "no surprises" or "ability to edit/delete without needing to follow up with Update/Delete activities", but still, one wonders why the proactivity.

@box464 Maybe to combat users that might federate to post negative content, then shut it off so they don't have to deal with the consequences?

@chrisod Well this is saying “I can turn it on, post a few things” but if I turn it off, I can’t re-enable the connection for 30 days.
Most likely so they can do their due-diligence with deletion requests.

Yup, that's the one use-case I immediately thought of. I suppose in this case a 30-day cooldown is pretty effective, then.
