When cometh the badges?

I saw a little conversation about badges on github, but no recent activity. Any road map or ballpark estimate for this?
I'm currently choosing between forums (Discourse, NodeBB, a couple older ones), and my only requirements are points, badges, and good spam control.

@Kamal-Patel No clue. @psychobunny Is working on something kind-of similar to what you are looking for but it's a bit complicated for my use case.

Yes my personal promise is to deliver gamification in this minor version. I don't care if I lose sleep or miss out on all the parties that I'm not invited to anyways for the next XX weekends, it is so happening.
