The Lurk Metric
-
Do we have a lurk metric or not?
If not NodeBB needs one.
Creators Vs Consumers
I'm not sure of the exact equation but a couple of examples:
- Total posts created Vs total posts read, over X time
- Total users who created posts V total uses who only read posts
- What else?
(note: how do we handle those who both create and consume)
Further breakdown by device type would be illuminating and invaluable.
What I want to know is, does the 80/20 rule express in the creators vs consumers dynamic on the NodeBB platform - in this age of mass consumption via mobile, while also being the hardest device-platform to generate long-form complex written content, I think this is an important break out metric.

@omega this would be nice to have.
Forums used to show how many days/hours/minutes you have spend on the website... This is not shown on NodeBB...
the lurk metrics should based on these data. Then, it will be easier to rank people... "total number of characters written on topics, chats" over "amount spent on the site"
extra points for topic creation, number of likes/unlikes or other reactions user gives, and of course total number of likes user gets etc.

parito principle does not apply to our forum, it is very clear for me It is more like 5:95 or 10:90
