Plugin Parsing in Text Widget

Some users seem interested to get the SoundCloud Plugin working on Frontpage, I assume with the Widget system.

I believe the easiest way would be to allow plugin parsing in a text widget, not available for now because I suppose because it's not considered as a post.

Would it be a problem to fire the filter:post.parse hook in text widget? And would it work?

Sounds doable I think I'll get rid of that "parse as markdown" and make it "parse as a post"

Hey I just realized that you could use the HTML widget, and just paste the embed code in

Yeah, @psychobunny is right, try putting your SoundCloud embed plugin just as a script tag in an HTML widget block. That should do the trick.
