Make Uploaded Files Private Setting Explanation

What does the Make uploaded files private setting do?

How are user's files set to private and how would a user manage them?

It basically ensures that images hosted within the forum can't be hotlinked outside of it; you'd have to be logged in to be able to see the file.

Is there a plan to add a file upload/download management component to NodeBB ? Many other forums have such a feature and I believe it would be valuable asset. Possibly one of the remaining features to round out NodeBB.

Hey, do you know where I can access the asset manager? I can't seem to find the button under the extensions when I have the Asset Manager plugin installed.

No need to use the asset manager anymore I think... you can just use /admin/manage/uploads
