Migrating Community from Ning to NodeBB

Hi all,
Apologies if this isn't in right place ...I've searched the forums for anything similar and drawn a blank. I'm looking at moving away from the out of the box Ning 3.0 network where our community has been for 3 years. I'm looking at options and platforms we could use to help us grow and evolve our existing community. I know nothing about NodeBB other than someone recommended it on another forum and I'm also looking at Vanilla forums and Social engine.

Could we recreate http://community.dpgplc.co.uk using a custome theme and plugins on NodeBB....would this be possible ?

Any thoughts or words of widom would be very much appreciated.
